Plan for growing of 12 major fruit trees in Southern Vietnam

The plan for key fruit tree concentrated growing areas in Southern Vietnam until 2020, which has been approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, focuses on dragon fruit, mango, rambutan, durian, milk fruit, pomelo, longan, banana, pineapples, oranges, custard apple and tangerines. The total area of key fruit trees planted until 2020 is 257,000 ha, of which 185,100 ha is in the Mekong River Delta and 71,900 ha in the Southeast.
