Watermelons, bars and trucks: dangerous intersections in Northwest Lao PDR

In the course of conducting this research many people contributed substantial assistance. We wish to thank the many villagers, traders, townspeople who gave so freely of their time and knowledge. Many district and provincial government staff helped us collate statistical data, facilitated our investigations and took the time to explain the myriad changes affecting everyday life in Sing and Long districts. We are enormously grateful for their help
