Migrant labor context of Lao PDR (study on health status of Lao trafficking victims)

A presentation of research findings on the health status of trafficking victims and other migrants returning to Laos, based on interviews with 623 returned migrants who sought medical care between 2008 and 2010. An overview of Laos migration and key issues is provided. Research findings are then presented, including health status, such as HIV and syphilis prevalence; migration triggers and recruitment methods.
