Joint external evaluation of IHR Core Capacities of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar

The International Health Regulations (IHR) (2005) provide obligations and rights for States Parties. In some States Parties, implementation of the IHR (2005) may require new or modi ed legislation. Even if a new or revised legislation may not be speci cally required, states may still choose to revise some regulations or other instruments in order to facilitate IHR implementation and maintenance in a more effective manner. Implementing legislation could serve to institutionalize and strengthen the role of IHR (2005) and operations within the State Party. It can also facilitate coordination among the different entities involved in their implementation. This report presents the findings of the Joint External Evaluation of IHR Core Capacities of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
