Law Adopting the Charter of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations

The purposes of ASEAN are to maintain and enchance peace, security and stability and further strengthen peace-oriented values in the region, to preserve Southest Asia as a Nuclear Weapon-Free Zone and free of all other weapons of mass destruction, and to ensure that all people in Southest Asia live in peace.
