Agricultural trade facilitation in the Greater Mekong Subregion

This report describes ADB's agricultural trade facilitation plan for the Greater Mekong Subregion. An agricultural trade facilitation plan lays out systematic ways that achieve a desired situation of increased movement and flow of agricultural products. The report describes the plan framework, priority programs and projects, emerging agricultural trade and facilitation issues, application to growth clusters, and greater Mekong Subregion readiness by country. Much of the report focuses on technical requirements (e.g. sanitary and phytosanitary requirements) and the capacities needed to implement them such as improvement of procedures addressing certifications, permits, licenses and risk management.
