“Property” [in respect of any asset] means the total and definite right of the State, collectives, individuals, and private persons and entities over such asset in terms of possession, use, function and disposition, within the limits provided for by the laws.

ឯកសារយោង	Pursuant to the resolution dated 2 December 1975 of the National Assembly of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic regarding the appointment of the President; Pursuant to the Law on the National Assembly of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, No. 4/SPA, dated 19 April 1988; and Pursuant to Resolution No. 01/90/SPA, dated 10 July 1990, of the fourth session of the National Assembly of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic which adopted the Property Law. The President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic Decrees That: Article 1. The Property Law is hereby promulgated. Article 2. This decree shall enter into force on the date it is signed.
