White paper: The 2013 general election for the 5th mandate of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia

On 28 July 2013, the general election for the 5th mandate of Cambodia’s National Assembly was held in 19,009 polling stations nationwide. In Cambodia neither voting nor registering to vote are compulsory. Since 1993, the 2013 national election had the lowest percentage of voter turnout at 69.61 %, of the total 9,675,453 registered voters. This is the eleventh national and sub-national election to be organized by NEC.
