No oil for up to five years: Cambodian government

It will be years before oil starts to be produced by energy giant Chevron's offshore site in the Gulf of Thailand. Chevron's permit to extract Block A remains stalled since the government and the company have not yet finished negotiations on terms of the taxation. In the exploration phase, the company was reported to have paid over $160 million.
