Global Footprint Network - National Footprint Accoutns
The National Footprint Accounts (NFAs) measure the ecological resource use and resource capacity of nations over time. Based on approximately 15,000 data points per country per year, the Accounts calculate the Footprints of over 200 countries, territories, and regions from 1961 to the present, providing the core data needed for all Ecological Footprint analysis worldwide. This Data Package contains Ecological Footprint and biocapacity as well as Human Development and population data to give a first approximation of the biological resource situation of the featured countries. All information contained in this Data Package can also be explored and downloaded from the Ecological Footprint Explorer as a part of Global Footprint Network's Open Data Platform. In addition, all figures shown in this Data Package are hyperlinked to an interactive version in the Footprint Explorer. The Explorer can be found at
