A working paper about prospects and challenges in Cambodia’s agriculture sector. Describes Cambodia’s agriculture development policy, main agriculture statistics, and investment in agriculture. Global agricultural trade is also examined, with reference to Cambodia’s market access and trade participation. The authors argue that Cambodia has huge potential to develop its agriculture industry, however, it faces challenges with low productivity and lack of certified quality standards, finance, crop diversification, and market information.
